So me or my music may be ignored here locally, but a nice photo some of my instruments got on the cover of XLent Magazine in a story about the Folk Alliance Conference. That's my fiddle and Vega tenor banjo. I helps provide the bass (Violins, Etc.) and the button accordion (Don Leady.) I'm in good company with a Collings guitar and an Ellis mandolin, either worth more than all the other instruments combined.
More on the conference later...

My instruments make the cover...
Jews don't get a "do-over"....
This one really hocked my chanuck. My pal Cornell Hurd sent me this link:
Former Derailer ‘surrenders all’
What really bums me out about this story is that no matter what happens in our life, we Jews don't get to run off, be entirely absolved by our community and feel good about ourselves without a moments attention to repair the conciderable damage we've inflicted on our fellow man, (or former bass players.) Our prayers for forgiveness from the Almighty ring entirely hollow and remain unheard until we each face those we have wronged and ask for thier forgiveness. It's no wonder people fall for the Carpenter; it requires neither conscience nor personal responsibility.
In a better world, I would hope that a troubled guy has found a sense of peace and no longer drags himself and family's honor through the gutter every night and all. But I don't buy it, not one bit. The same way I didn't buy the fake Southern drawl, the false smiles, friendly handshakes and the hokey stage outfits. Pathetic.
More on this if you catch me in person.
